LIVE...vakantie!

Hoi en doei! ;) De vakantie periode komt eraan en ik heb ZO ' NNNN (bedenk nu dat ik met gespreide armen aangeef hoeveel) zin in vakantie! Heel veel dus. En de laatste loodjes wegen het zwaarst; zeggen ze. Zwaar heb ik het nog niet, maar wel druk. Fotografie, interieurs ontwerpen, producten produceren, een tienerkamp organiseren en bloggen...dat is veel.

Dus is het tijd om even een vakantie in te roepen wat betreft het bloggen. 26 augustus ben ik weer online. Ondertussen zal ik wel bezig zijn met mijn blog. Ik ben met een blog cursus bezig om eens met nieuwe ogen naar mijn blog te kijken. Erg Leuk! Verder kijk ik met een grafisch ontwerper naar mijn blog, fotografie en de handgemaakte productenlijn. En bedenken we hoe dit allemaal qua huisstijl en website samen kan vallen. Ontzettend enthousiast over het resultaat ben ik al, maar voor jullie wil ik het nog even een verrassing laten ;). Met kleine stapjes gaan we vooruit. Ik zeg doei! Bonjour en tot ziens! Ik wens jullie een fijne zomervakantie en succes met de laatste loodjes! Xx Devereaux

Hello and bye! The holidays are coming and I’m VERRRRRY much looking forward to it! (think of me spreading my arms as wide as possible). But, as they say, the last mile is the longest. It doesn’t feel too heavy on my shoulders yet. It's very busy, though. Photographing, designing interiors, producing products, organizing a youth camp and blogging…

So it’s time to take a break from blogging and say hello to Mister Holiday. 26th August I’m back. In the meanwhile I’ll still be occupied with the blogging part, but in a different way. I’m following a blog course, so I can take a fresh look at my blog. Very happy about that! And I'll be working on it, as well as brand design, with a graphic designer. Our goal is for my handmade products, photography and website to form a cohesive look and feel, essentially, to become one brand. I’m very excited about it, but I don’t want to spoil the surprise for you guys. ;) With little baby steps it’s all coming together. So for now, I’m saying goodbye to you! Bonjour en see ya! LOVE...pre wedding shoot

Liefde, passie, aandacht, hartstocht...echt een match made by heaven. Hier een paar foto's van de pre wedding shoot. Dit koppel is een tijdje geleden getrouwd. Ik mocht deze shoot met ze doen en op hun bruiloft fotograferen. Een waar genot! Een stel die zoveel emotie en liefde weet zichtbaar te maken, dat zelfs ik, op hun bruiloft meerdere tranen heb laten rollen. Mijn snikjes werden afgewisseld met klikken van het fototoestel, geen tijd om de tranen weg te vegen, want deze momenten waren zo fotowaardig! Wat was het mooi...Op de bruiloft hebben ze gebruik gemaakt van de pre wedding shoot foto's. Bij het bedankje, het receptieboek en als aankondiging zag ik de foto's terugkomen. Erg leuk! Zij; is Braziliaans, hij; is van Italiaanse afkomst. Gelukkig bestaan er vliegtuigen en skype zodat zo'n bijzondere mensen een paartje kunnen vormen. Het daten was een uitdaging, maar nu wonen ze samen in België. Wat en liefdesverhaal...zucht :)

De pre wedding shoot moest romantisch worden met pastelkleurige afwerking. De locatie gaf mij de gelegenheid om met hun reflectie te spelen in het water. Met mijn waterschoentjes moest ik heel stil in het water staan, en dan klik! Want een rimpel in het water was fataal voor de reflectie, natuurlijk...Ik voelde mij een echte survival chick, een oervrouw.Ik heb mij vermaakt, ook al glibberde er iets tussen mijn tenen en maakten  de mugjes een feestmaal van mijn lichaam. Zo blij dat ik achter de camera stond! Want voor de camera vloog er ook nog een hele insecten kolonie, arm toekomstig bruidspaar...Toch lukte het ze om charmant op de foto te staan. Ademen was geen optie en zwaaien met de armen al helemaal niet, dus korte pauzes waren gewenst. Ja, fotoshoots zijn echt leuk ;), zeker een aanrader. Haha! Vooral de dag erna, als je een stipjes thema op je gezicht hebt staan. Ja, het was echt leuk...ik kan niet wachten tot ik weer zoiets mag doen als oervrouw. Geluk vind je soms op de meest gekke plaatsen, in België of in glibberige waterplasjes. Bedankt lief bruidspaar, het was een uitdaging, maar zooo leuk! Xx Devereaux

Love, passion, attention, the real deal…they’re really a match made by heaven. Here's some pictures of their pre-wedding shoot. This couple married a few weeks ago. They asked me to do this shoot as well as their wedding. A real joy! A couple who share such emotion and love that they made the photographer cry (yes, me). On the wedding day, several tears rolled down my cheeks. I’d varied my little sniffs with the clicking of my camera. No time to wipe my cheeks, because these moments were picture worthy. It was beautiful. On the big day they used the pre-wedding pictures as decorations, with the give away, the reception book and the announcement! So lovely! She; is a Brazilian, he; is originally from Italy. Luckily, airplanes and Skype give amazing couples like them the opportunity to date. It was a challenge, but now they're living together in Belgium. Quite a love story, isn't it? …Sigh

The pre- shoot had to be very romantic, with the use of pastel tones throughout. The location made it possible for me to play around with their reflections. Wearing my water shoes I had to stand very still in the water, and then click! Every motion became visible in a wrinkle, fatal for the reflection. I felt like a survival chick, a real cavewomen. I enjoyed myself big time, even if I had to acquiesce to the slippery things between my toes. And despite the mosquito dinner party on my body, I’m still very happy I was the person behind the camera! In front of the camera a whole swarm of insects gathered around the poor engaged couple. Despite this challenge, they nailed it, looking charming in the pictures. Breathing wasn’t an option and weaving arms was a no go…so we had to take some breaks between pictures. Yes, I know, photo-shoots are so much fun! :P Especially the day after, when you’re looking in the mirror at all the red dots on your face. Yup, it’s quite entertaining. Haha!

I can’t wait to have a new cave woman experience. You’ll find a sense of happiness in the most weird places..in Belgium or in slippery ponds.  Thanks to the lovely bride and groom. I’ve loved the challenge! Xx Devereaux
